Fast T's Installs Starters Right...On Site!
A bad starter is often misdiagnosed as a bad battery by amateurs. Fast T's On Site Automotive Repair thoroughly tests the battery voltage, the battery load draw from the starter, the ignition solenoid, and the ohm readings from the starters wiring.
Your Fast T's Mechanic will then check for a good 12.5 volts at the battery supply line, and a good 12 volts at the ignition solenoid terminal and ignition wire. If good voltage is found at the power wire, and good signal is detected at the ignition solenoid, then your electric starter motor has failed.
All of Fast T's general automotive services such as Battery Service, Mechanical Diagnostics, and Lock Out Services are completely covered under our single service call charge.
Fast T's has installed hundreds of car and truck starters, we have the hands on know how and experience to complete your starter motor installation properly. We offer a 24,000 mile Parts Replacement Warranty as well as a 3 Year Labor Guarantee to ensure your starter cranks your engine for many years to come!
Starters are an essential component of the engine, and it is imperative that an electric starter motor receives the proper amount of direct voltage to crank or turn the engine over to achieve combustion. Once the engine starts the bendix gear in the starter motor disengages with the flywheel or flexplate.
How do starters work?
The bendix gear has a one way clutch built into it, which enables the starter motor to spin freely when the engine starts while retracting the bendix gear back into the starter motors' housing. This ensures that it does not make contact with the flywheel or flexplate once combustion is achieved.
